There it is, in all its glory. The last of the taco meat - in a taco salad. The plan began as a layered dip: refried beans, taco meat, cheese, sour cream, and lettuce. From there I just kinda shoved it at my face along with the tortilla chips I have on hand. I've determined that pretty much everything related to taco ANYthing is the kind of meal where you just get mess-ay. And I am ok with this.
But this got me thinking how much I love cooking one thing and being able to turn it into many things, like I did this week with my taco meat. Three different meals from one cooking effort. I don't know about you, but I need more ideas like this in my recipe box. So consider this your official invite to share such ideas and recipes here! I'll be sure to post any recipes I come across that meet my strict tastebud requirements, and always love to hear feedback from you!
Happy eating!
